Red Belly Yellowtail Fusilier (Caesio cuning)

Description:
The Dorsal fin down the top of the fish to the whole tail is yellow in color which is where the yellow tail fusilier name comes from. The majority of the front body is grayish blue green in color. The belly is white and/or pinkish red in color.

Natural Ecology:
They like to be at depths from 1-60 meters, in coastal waters, typically above rocky and coral reef

Indigenous To:
From Indo-West Pacific ranging from Sri Lanka and southern India east to Fuji, north to southern Japan and south to northern Australia.

Behavior:
In the wild they eat Zooplankton and swim in schools in the midwater

Compatibility:
Usually ignore corals but will eat fish and other invertebrates. Fusiliers grow large – up to 60 cm (24 in).

Food:
Proaquatix specimens have been weaned to take aquarium pellets and flakes. Freshly frozen invertebrates such as ocean plankton, Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped squid will be readily accepted.
