Bellus Angelfish (Genicanthus bellus)

Description:
The Bellus Angelfish are sexually dimorphic, one of only a few species of angels that are like this. They start out in their female form being iridescent white and blue and black with a yellow/orange dorsal fin and lateral stripe running from gills to tail. The male coloration is iridescent pale white and blue, with the lower half of the body and anal fin highlighted by long, horizontal blue stripes and one, yellow to orange stripe running down the sides of the body and down the dorsal fin to the tail.   

Natural Ecology:
Live in deep reefs often in outer drop offs that have strong currents.

Indo-Pacific 

Behavior:
Very social and live in schools and like living in harems 

Compatibility:
Reef safe and peaceful 

Food:
These angels are omnivores and as a Proaquatix specimens have been weaned to accept a nutritionally complete pelletized diet. This species of angelfish should also be offered marine algae, Spirulina, and freshly frozen ocean plankton, Mysis shrimp, or brine shrimp.
