Neon Dottyback (Pseudochromis aldabraensis) 

Description:
A bright orange-colored Dottyback with two blue stripes that run along the dorsal body, fins, and dorsal caudal fin. Two additional short blue stripes appear on the sides of the head.

Natural Ecology:
Pseudochromis aldabraensis is a carnivore of worms and other small invertebrates. This species is highly territorial towards conspecifics.

Indigenous To:
Eastern coast of Africa, southwards to South Africa.

Behavior:
Often seen near an area where a quick retreat into rocks is possible.

Compatibility:
Usually ignores corals and most invertebrates. They may attack tiny shrimps but are useful to curb the proliferation of bristle worms.

Food:
Proaquatix specimens have been weaned to take aquarium pellets and flakes. Freshly frozen invertebrates such as ocean plankton, Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and chopped squid will be readily accepted.
